The crowd was hushed as the museum proprietor got ready to unveil the prized display of the evening, the Stomach of the Ocean Diamond, only to find it had been stolen while the crowd mingled in ignorant bliss. Now it is up to you and the detective to find the thief and restore the diamond to its rightful place to get the unveiling back on track!

 Who is the carat caper, and who will solve the crime to make this night of mystery the night of beauty it was intended to be? Dress in your fanciest evening gowns and suits. This is a museum unveiling, after all, and only the finest will do. Tonight will be an evening of high fashion and suspenseful mystery, with one thrilling conclusion.

13.1 Mile - 10K - 5K - 1 Mile youth - 100 Yard Fun Run

Benefits Hazleton POWER and the Greater Hazleton Civic Partnership to help us promote healthy lifestyles and outdoor recreation, and to bring more people back Downtown and onto the Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails.

Course Description: 100 Yard Fun Run- (Ages 6 & Under) Sprint down the trail to the finish. 1mi Youth Run – Sprint run on Hazleton Rails to Trails out and back. 5K – Take the trail to Dreck’s Creek and back. 10K – From Trail parking lot turn right towards Hazleton. Left onto Franklin, left onto Poplar, left onto Aurthur Gardner, left onto rt 93, right into trail parking lot. Once on the trail follow to Dreck’s Creek to 10K turnaround marker and back. Half Marathon – Identical to the 10K route but more time spent on the trail before crossing the finish line. Once on the trail follow to Dreck’s Creek beyond the reservoir and across the walking bridge to the 13.1 turnaround marker and back.

We made a very difficult decision to postpone the Hazleton Area Children’s Festival until next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BUT, the show must go on! We are happy to announce that when life gave us lemons, we made lemonade.

Hazleton POWER! Food and Vendor Showcase will be Sunday, August 23rd 2020 from 11am to 6 pm at Hazle Township Community Park.

We (Hazleton POWER!) are inviting ALL businesses to join us for this event. This is a first come first serve and spots are very limited to maintain social distancing guidelines.

We are encouraging businesses or organizations to market their services or sell items. If you are like us (Hazleton POWER!) you may have had a difficult year, so let’s join forces! Deadline is August 10th.

There will be vendors of all sorts, tricky trays, interactive events and food vendors on site. Stop by Hazle Township Community Park to grab a bite to eat and your support local businesses and organizations!!
